This documentary was filmed deep in the misty mountains of Guangdong, China, and follows one of the world’s rarest and most elusive vipers, the Mangshan pit viper (Protobothrops mangshanensis). Alongside a dedicated team of herpetologists, we searched for these well-camouflaged reptiles through dense subtropical forests and encountered a lot of fascinating endemic species.
